Cnidarians

The jellyfish is a very unique animal, here are some of the things that make them what they are:

  • They have little control over their movement, and free-float most of the time.  But in order to move up and down, they use their hydrostatic skeleton.  The hydrostatic skeleton uses water pressure to contract their muscles.
  • Jellyfish do not have a respiratory system, because their skin is so thin.  They get oxygen through diffusion.
